We strategized to beat the pumpkin traffic this year.
We left early and made it over the hill to the coast in record time.
We went to my all-time favorite pumpkin patch, Farmer John's.
It was sunny and warm.
I love the fields of orange pumpkins against the bright blue sky and the crisp, salty air.
Viv found "perfect pumpkins" for herself and Luke.
Vince and I chose our pumpkins (I like lots of tendrils).
Then we headed to lunch by the harbor.
We ordered fish and chips and when we cut Vivian's piece of fish so it would cool down faster she said "No! Don't cut my fish! It will hurt it!".
(Do we have a budding veggie on our hands? Or is this just being four?)
All in all a very nice start to October.

we spent a beautiful afternoon at farmer john's yesterday! (had to go to church first so we took a little longer to get there than hoped-worth the drive & d got in a little nap too)

i am also loving the lukey pie updates. he and miss moriah have the same exersaucer. we call it the blue monster in our home. it's a beast of entertainment, and provides a great way to get a few moments to yourself =)

SO glad I snuck over from ThinkPink to catch up on your new photos of the family! Miss Viv is quite the fashion plate, it would seem! Love the colorful outfit she has on in the pumpkin patch pictures, but REALLY loved the outfit she chose for herself during quiet time! (previous post) Can't believe how fast Luke is growing! Your photos of him are adorable! You have finely tuned photographer skills—nice work!

My most favorite (in fact, I am printing it for my board as soon as I get colored ink refilled!) is the one of Viv and Luke in the wagon. That's a priceless photo.
