Some snippets of summer vacation so far, via Instagram.

An evening all around the city with Vince: drinks, dinner and The Head and the Heart.  It was a very late night that was so good for my soul (the band didn't go on until 11 - waaay past my bedtime, but so worth it). 

Our first day of summer break was rainy and cold.  My little rainy day explorers, pantless and in pajamas.

My parents have been married for 40 years this year.  They're celebrating in Italy.  Beautiful.

 Strawberry picking.  It was the most perfect, relaxing and beautiful day with dear friends.

 

I turned  35.  Vince surprised me by having Granny come babysit the kids and taking me out to celebrate.  It was a fantastic evening.

It's not my birthday nor the start of summer til we've had grilled cheese by the creek at Rossotti's.

At 4:00 on the hottest day of the year, we couldn't take it anymore.  We took the long way to the coast for dinner and some fresh air.

Vivian and I had a sleepover at the sleep study center!  Good times.  She rocked it - covered in stickers and wires and glue. (We've been putting it off for a long time but need to decide if her massive tonsils need to be removed and we also want DATA about her sleep quality.)

We got home the next morning just as Luke was waking up and celebrated with a donut.

I'm also doing lots of laundry.
