Thanksgiving is my favorite
and getting ready for it makes me happy!
The Wednesday before Thanksgiving reminds me of coming home from college and being enveloped in all the familiar comforts of home.
We have two traditions:
The kids and I go to my parents' house to bake pies, peel potatoes and chop vegetables to prepare for tomorrow's feast. We listen to music and laugh and play and eat lunch as we chop, roll and bake.
Vince and I watch the movie Swingers (doesn't that take you back to 1996?!) and drink martinis.
It's a favorite!
