No work for Vince on Friday, so off we went to: sit in some holiday traffic (happily, because going for a drive=uninterrupted talk time with Vince=a total luxury); eat at Sonic (a schlep, but now a 4th of July holiday tradition since we realized we did it last year, too); drive a new road to the beach (Highway 152 through berry, zucchini and artichoke fields was a lovely way to get there); sit at the beach (Viv loves sand, a lot); eat some favorite yummies for dinner in Santa Cruz (namely, Marianne's Ice Cream).
