How It All Began--My Original Profile

Summer '07 was all about early morning walks around the neighborhood, High Fiber cereal, peaches and home improvement projects, all while enjoying my ever growing pregnant belly and time with my husband, Vince. It was a bridge between my life as a teacher and the uncharted territory of motherhood. Then our daughter, Vivian, decided to join us five weeks early. She has a congenital heart defect that will need to be corrected with surgery. This blog is a way to remember that there are joyful moments, even when my world feels it's been turned upside down. Besides, I need a constructive middle of the night activity, and who knew I could type so well one-handed while holding Vivi in the crook of my other arm?
